How do you succeed in leading a contented life when you don't know where exactly you're going? In times when fear of the future seems to be the omnipresent feeling of an entire generation? When you have questions but can't find the answers? How do you manage to keep a clear head and not lose hope in the future?
With her new single "Pilgrim," Julie Fox doesn't provide an answer to these questions, but she does process her own fears and feelings by shifting her perspective and acknowledging that everyone is in the same boat, and that addressing these issues can best be done in peaceful community. She evokes at the same time the natural wonders that make us remember how small we are in the presence of such a vast and complex world.
"Pilgrim" is a song for those who like to reflect on life and who often find themselves (re)discovering new places in a vast and wonderful world.

The sounds of the charango and ukulele, combined with the steady beat of the bass drum, musically evoke the feeling of being on a journey. The pedal steel guitar and other instruments create a spherical, mystical atmosphere. The voices of Julie Fox, her brother Amos Eicher, and Lisi Berger harmonize wonderfully with each other and remind especially in the bridge of the feeling of community and connection among human beings.
